Spain composed in 1971 is another jazz/classical hybrid and is perhaps the composer's most recognized piece. The work has been recorded in several versions. A passage from Joaquín Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” is quoted in the introduction. Corea was awarded the Best Instrumental Arrangement Grammy for the piece in 2001. Total performance time is about 23 minutes.
