Northern Flicker was commissioned by Lisa Pegher and premiered at the Andy Warhol Museum in 2012. In addition to an array of drums and metalic percussion, the piece incorporates samples from the Yellow Shafted Northern Flicker triggered by a midi drum pad. The work also references the Northern Lights, especially in the middle of the piece that features a variety coloristic metalic percussion.
