Serenade for Piano

The source of the piece is a close-up photograph of a cobweb by California artist, Zander Smith. Through this web are scattered four or five "trapped" dewdrops. In the music, a rough-hewn, dancelike, Spanish-sounding motif scatters itself through a webbed tracing of moody and yearning melody. The piano mimicks the sound of a serenading guitar.
